Remember Your Childhood

We’re not sitting around watching daytime TV, but we caught this nugget from Dr. Phil and had to share:

“Remember the good things, and remember the bad things, and use them to help you be a better parent. Treat your childhood as a learning experience to recall what worked and didn’t. It won’t translate exactly to your kids—they’re not you, after all—but they’re kids. And you were too, once.”

A little wisdom from the doc to help you level up your dad game.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford wasn’t just the man who revolutionized the automobile industry; he was also a dedicated father to his son, Edsel.

Ford’s vision of making cars affordable for the masses changed the world, but he also passed on his passion and business acumen to Edsel, who became president of Ford Motor Company.

Ford's legacy is more than just assembly lines and Model Ts—it's about a dad who built an empire while raising a son to carry it forward.

The World’s Hardest Mile

I saw this scrolling through Instagram. I’m gonna give it a go this weekend.

Head to your local track and let the suffering begin:

  • Lap 1: Burpee broad jumps

  • Lap 2: Walking lunges

  • Lap 3: Bear Crawls

  • Lap 4: 400m run

Props to @mattchoi_6 for posting. Let us know how it goes.

Got a slow drain? Hair, soap scum, and dirt can clog things up, but here’s a quick DIY fix:

  1. Remove and clean the strainer or stopper.

  2. Pour a kettle of boiling water down the drain.

  3. Dump 1 cup of baking soda in.

  4. Add 2 cups of white vinegar and let it sit for 20 minutes.

  5. Finish with another kettle of boiling water.

Lake Powell Houseboat Adventure

Having been on a houseboat at Lake Powell, I can personally attest—this is an epic experience.

Lake Powell is a houseboating paradise, with 2,000 miles of shoreline set against the stunning red rocks of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. It’s remote, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, with proximity to national parks and unforgettable views.

If you’re looking for a unique family adventure, Lake Powell should be on your list.
