Rob Dyrdek

Rob Dyrdek transformed from a teenage skateboarding phenom into a business mogul with a $100 million net worth.

But his most impressive feat? Mastering the art of balancing success with family life.

Dyrdek approaches fatherhood with the same intensity he brought to his entrepreneurial ventures.

His secret? Treating life like a well-executed business plan, scheduling everything from board meetings to playtime with precision. All of his time is accounted for.

Despite his busy lifestyle, Dyrdek makes it a priority to be a hands-on dad. He's traded in late-night business calls for bedtime stories, proving that being there for your kids is the ultimate measure of success.

He’s also teaching his kids about goal-setting and vision boards early; raising little entrepreneurs.

Goggins' Guide to Crushing Consistency

David Goggins, the toughest man alive, has two pieces of advice to stay consistent.

  1. Embrace the Suck: Goggins says, "The pain you are feeling is nothing compared to the joy that is coming." Translation? Those 5 AM workouts are gonna hurt. Your muscles will scream. You'll want to quit. Good. That means it's working. Embrace that pain. Let it fuel you. Remember, comfort is the enemy of progress. So get uncomfortable, and stay uncomfortable.

  2. The 40% Rule: "When your mind is telling you you're done, you're really only 40 percent done." In other words, when you think you can't do another push-up, you've got 60% left in the tank. So when you're ready to tap out after a few reps, push through. Do another set. Then another. Your mind will quit a thousand times before your body will. Don't let it.

Time-Out Tactics

When your kiddo(s) goes full Hulk, it might be time-out time.

Here's how to nail it:

  1. Act fast: Don't wait for commercial breaks. Strike while the iron's hot.

  2. Location, location, location: Pick a boring spot. No TV, no toys, no fun.

  3. Keep it short: One minute per year of age. Your 2-year-old isn't doing hard time.

  4. Zip it: Less talk, more action. Save the lecture for later.

  5. Stay cool: Channel your inner Clint Eastwood. No emotions, just business.

  6. Use a timer: Let "Mr. Dinger" be the bad guy.

  7. Consistency is key: Same routine, every time. They'll learn quick.

Remember, time-outs work best when balanced with plenty of "time-ins." Show some love, play the fool, and your kid might just behave... sometimes.
